When Thor: Love and Thunder Coming to theaters next month, this will be a first in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Chris Hemsworth movie starring Chris Hemsworth will be the first time in the overall franchise that The Avenger has earned four singles. Now, in conversation with FandangoHemsworth reacts to being the only MCU actor to have four singles, calling him “awesome” and talking about how much he’d love to play the character.
“Yeah, no one else did four. That was pretty cool,” Hemsworth said. “I loved playing this character and every time I did, I had the opportunity to do something different, especially when Taika appeared. And every time there is a new creative project and a different place to explore. It makes for a fun journey and a fun time. This movie is full of limitless opportunities. To recreate Thor again, or rebuild Thor because like I said, the last movie was in a different place. So, this movie was a self-discovery journey for all of us.”
While the movie was a journey of self-discovery for Hemsworth in terms of making it, the final product that hits screens in July is set to have the shortest runtime for Marvel in years. The movie slate on both AMC and Cineworld gives the movie only 119 minutes of running time and just one minute in 2018 Ant man and the wasp. However, even though the movie might take a short time, Hemsworth quipped that there was plenty of footage — enough for there to be an “editorial multiverse” of sorts.
“There is an editorial multiverse in this movie, depending on which path you went with with the impromptu scene,” Hemsworth said. Waititi added that the movie could have its own entire multiverse, adding “there is the potential for 15 different versions of this movie.”
